LizardTech Showcases Solutions to Distributed Capture With Its Document Express Modules
SEATTLE, Wash. – May 11, 2005 - LizardTech, a division of Celartem, Inc., and a leading provider of software solutions that make it significantly easier to manage and distribute digital content such as scanned color documents, aerial photography and satellite imagery will participate as an exhibitor at this year’s AIIM ON DEMAND Conference and Exposition at the Philadelphia Convention Center from May 17-19, 2005 at Booth #1253. LizardTech is going to showcase solutions to distributed capture with its Document Express with DjVu software, which is a suite of applications created to solve information access and distribution problems in networked environments.
AIIM is the largest enterprise content and document management conference and exposition showcasing the technologies to capture, manage, share, and store documents and digital content to support business processes and comply with governmental regulations. ON DEMAND, the digital printing and automated production event, is the largest conference and exposition dedicated to the technologies that create, personalize, manage, print and deliver content.
At the show LizardTech will showcase two modules, the Document Express Module for Kofax Ascent Capture and the Document Express Kodak Edition, designed to meet the needs of distributed capture environments and prove how this technology is revolutionizing the access to information by removing many of the barriers associated with scanned files.
Document Express with DjVu, is the software that gives the user the ability to encode and then manipulate highly compressed representations of scanned and electronic black and white and color documents, in an open source file format called DjVu. The resulting highly compressed true-quality images are optimized for viewing via internal networks and the Web. In addition to seeing demonstrations of the two modules, attendees will also see how quickly they can navigate within documents over all sizes of bandwidth connections even in non-optimal dialup environments and perform full text searches in a single document or a document collection.
“Organizations demand quick access to information for a more efficient and more effective management of given data,” said Jeff Foster, LizardTech product manager. “LizardTech developed Document Express with DjVu, a document imaging solution that will enable them to cost effectively archive and share scanned color documents via internal networks and the Web.”
AIIM ON DEMAND will offer several informative, technology-specific pavilions, appearing for the first time in Pennsylvania Convention Center’s Independence Hall. The pavilions are designed to focus on a specific technological facet within the show’s broader scope, providing visitors with an interactive and specialized look at some of the most interesting applications in technology today.
The Conference programs offer over 130 educational sessions that address new technologies, implementation case studies, regulatory and compliance issues, best practices and recommendations, and many more.
