Winner announced at 2009 ESRI International User Conference

Now it’s time to vote for a favorite lizard image. Beginning today through July 14 everyone is encouraged to visithttp://www.lizardtech.com/esri2009/vote.php and place their vote for their favorite shot. Voting will also be available during the first day of the ESRI conference in LizardTech’s booth (#511). The person whose lizard photo receives the most votes will win a brand new handheld GPS system. The winner will be announced in LizardTech’s booth number 511 at 3:00 p.m. on July 15.

LizardTech is also promoting the launch of its latest product through a “We’ll Show You” promotion. The first 25 conference attendees to bring one DVD of LiDAR data (LAS or ASCII format) to the LizardTech booth (#511) by 6pm on Tuesday, July 14 will receive something in return the following day and experience what it feels like to be completely blown away.

Celartem Appoints Caminova as Exclusive Worldwide DjVu® Distributor and Strategic Alliance Partner for Groundbreaking DjVu® Technology

LizardTech’s GeoViewer 3.0 Downloaded Thousands of Times During First Week of Release

Record high download rate indicates high demand and satisfied customers

SEATTLE, Wash. – June 3, 2009 - LizardTech, a division of Celartem Inc. and a leading provider of software solutions for managing and distributing digital content, announced that during the first week of release nearly 3,000 copies were downloaded of their newly launched GeoViewer 3.0, now offered as a free, standalone application for viewing geospatial imagery and vector overlays.

“We knew our customers would be excited about the free GeoViewer, but we didn’t expect the number of downloads to be this high,” said Jon Skiffington, LizardTech senior product manager. “The feedback has been incredibly positive, and the number of downloads after just one week of availability shows how eager our users are to try this new product.”

The free GeoViewer application replaces LizardTech’s previous GeoExpress View utility that was offered for $299. GeoViewer 3.0 enables users to view and export layers from varied sources, such as local repositories, Express Server catalogs, and WMS and JPIP servers. GeoViewer supports a wide range of input formats and exports to GeoTIFF, PNG and JPEG. It’s the most efficient means of viewing MrSID and JPEG 2000 images.

The free GeoViewer application replaces LizardTech’s previous GeoExpress View utility that was offered for $299. GeoViewer 3.0 enables users to view and export layers from varied sources, such as local repositories, Express Server catalogs, and WMS and JPIP servers.
