LizardTales Newsletter - Q3 2004
Letter from LizardTech CEO, Carlos Domingo Dear Customers and Partners, It has been a year since the new LizardTech emerged after being acquired by Celartem Technologies, Inc. and we have just closed our first fiscal year under the new ownership and management. What could be a better way to celebrate our first anniversary than by announcing that we just had the highest yearly revenue for our geospatial line of products, GeoExpress with MrSID and Express Server, since the company was founded 12 years ago? Additionally, Q4 was also the best quarter ever for overall revenue in North America. Geospatial imagery (both satellite and aerial) is growing at a fast pace driven by increased resolution of images, the move to digital acquisition on both satellite and aerial platforms and the increased usage of imagery by federal agencies like NGA. Today, a single flight with a digital camera can easily generate 500GB of imagery and users will only benefit from the imagery if it is readily accessible throughout the organization. LizardTech products make imagery more accessible and easier to distribute than any other solution available and our performance over the previous 12 months is a testament. On the document imaging side, we continue to successfully execute our strategy of becoming the leading company for scanned and electronic document distribution. We have just announced that we are strengthening our distribution by signing with NewWave Technologies in North America and Headway in Europe as well as partnerships with document imaging leaders like Kodak and Captiva. I look forward to being in touch with you again next quarter to update you on new products and our continued success. Regards,
Carlos Domingo |
