Exporting images

Postby JMAC » Thu Jul 10, 2008 8:00 am

I have several large Sid files, approx. 1 gig each. I downloaded the free GeoExpress 7 trial version and tried exporting the images into several smaller sized jpg's. Area's in urbanized areas made some of the bands shift skewing the portions of the images. This was particularly evident around roads that curved. Has anyone experienced the same thing or am I do something wrong? I have tried it on 3 different computers.

Hello,

GeoExpress 7 does export to TIFF, but not to JPEG. I wonder if you are using a different product (perhaps GeoExpress View by ILS?) or if you are exporting to TIFF.

GeoExpress 7 also produces JPEG 2000 imagery. Is that what you are using?

Also, please give me more information about the source imagery. How many bands, width, height, 8-bit or 16-bit, world files or not?
