Eliminating the Black areas in a large SID mosaic?

Postby Cartographer1 » Tue Nov 18, 2008 12:32 pm

We have created a large SID mosaic from TIF files of orthos covering a county. In the areas where there are no orthos at that resolution, there are black areas. Is there any way to create a SID mosaic without the black areas?

Thanks.

Hello Cartographer1,

GeoExpress will "Square off" all images via the outer most pixels. The Black area is given a 0,0,0, black pixel value.

If you are seeing a black area that is greater then what I talked about above send me a screenshot of your image to Support@lizardtech.com and I will help you directly.
