Large batch ingests in 6.1

Postby trailblder » Tue Nov 18, 2008 3:48 pm

Hi everyone.
We do large batch ingests of .tif to gen3 .sid w/compress.ration 10:1 in the amounts of 1-1000 TIFs at a time. I wanted to know if there is a better way other than dragging and dropping from explorer into the job window--a script, something. Not only is our process very time intensive, it introduces the possibility for manual error. Or am I missing something very obvious in the program?

Thanks!!

I should specify that the TIFs are split into multiple volumes, which is why the click/drag method is a problem. Hopefully that makes things a bit more clear.

You can use our command line encoder (which ships with the GeoExpress UI) to avoid the use of the UI completely and script your entire workflow.
