We use Geoexpress 6.1.1 to convert som straigt forward jpg's and tiff's to MrSID generation 2 or 3. We use a floating lisence and a data cartrigde on the same server. This seems to work fine for all installations.
The images are created from a rectify-prosess in ArcGIS 9.3.
We experience a strange situation:
From my computer, I can add pictures and start encoding them to MrSID. But from two other computers with (as far as I can see) same configuration (winxp with all updates) we get an error when we try to add an image. It is the same result whether we use the "Add"-button in geoexpress or if we use "drag and drop" with the explorer in windows.
I would be thankful if any has a suggestion.
Is there a servicepack for Geoexpress 6?
Errorcode 50006

I have done some more debugging and have isolated the error more.
The error comes when I try to convert a jpg with av jgw-file (jpg-world file) and have checked out the box that says "Allow world files to override native georeferencing".
If I uncheck this box, then I am able to add the files. I still wonder why this aplies to some computers, not all??!!

Solution!!
After a discussion with Gaute Solaas at the norwegian distributor of Geoexpress we found the solution:
In Norway, "comma" define a desimal number. In US, a "dot" defines the desimal.
I simply had to change to dot under regional settings. Then it worked fine!
Maybe this is solved under version 7 of geoexpress. At least, ESRI has solved it in arcGIS 9.3
