We encode large numbers of geotif orthomosaic tiles into MrSID using GeoExpress, and about 3% of the geotifs fail to convert, with the following error: Failed to encode image TIFF: internal error - D:\<path>\<name>.tif: 0: Invalid tile byte count, tile 85852 [7349]
Most other tiles in the same image (generated with the same software) encode successfully. The "bad" tiff files display in ArcGIS and ERDAS Imagine. ERDAS can save the tiffs right back out and the resulting files convert to MrSID without a problem.
Any idea why GeoExpress would have a problem with a few image tiles that seem to be no different from other tiles in the orthomosaic which encoded successfully, and why other programs are able to open the tiles? Are there any file size limits or lines/samples limits for GeoTIFF-to-MrSID? (These tiles are about 2.8GB each).

Hi GBryan,
With out some more information I would not be able to give you an exact reason to why some tiles fail to encode. Please contact me via support@lizardtech.com and I can take a closer look at your encoding process and Tiff files.
