Ecode CIR mosiac with white background from a 4-band Image

Hi,
I am trying to encode a CIR mosaic using 4-band GeoTIFF imagery with a white background color. When attempting the encode process with the background color selected I recieve a 'color mis-match' error. However, I am able to process the mosaic when I do not select a background color and the result is a white background. Does anybody have any suggestions for solving this issue?
