Cropping Problem

When I am using the vector overlay file option and input my shape file I keep getting the following messages:

Couldn't query image properties: PV BERM.sid Shape file not maskable

Then when I try to preview the image in the main task menu I receive this message:

Preview image could not be created unknown status


I am not sure what is going wrong.

You might have to buffer the vector overlay first:
