GDAL error [Failure, 3]: internal error [50310]

Dear users,

I have a little problem: If I want to convert an IMG to MrSID (Gen2), I get the above mentioned error message. The output size is calculated to some 400MB. So this should not be the problem. If I convert the IMG to JPEG2000 lossless and this to MrSid, the conversion works. The output size is almost the same like the calculated for direct conversion of the IMG to MrSID.

I think it is a problem with the ERDAS Imagine Format (maybe because of ERDAS 2010?). If I copy the IMG with ArcGIS to a new IMG, I can use this copied IMG to convert it with GeoExpress to MrSID Gen2.

Maybe it is also a problem with internal layers or image statistics. Maybe someone of you has an idea.

I would contact support and see if you can send a sample image that reproduces the problem in order to get a more detailed look at what is going on.
