GeoReferenced MrSID files

Postby LeeB » Fri Aug 06, 2010 4:18 am

Hi,

MrSID newbie here so apologies in advance.

I am trying to develop an appliication for reading and reprojecting MrSId images (if required) into geographic (Lat/Long).

I have a question regarding the georeferencing of MrSId files. The examples that I have been given and downloaded all seem to contain GEOTIFF meta tags for defining the projection, co-ordinate system, units, zone etc. of the image. Is this the accepted approach or is this simply one of the various options available. These tags appears to be used when the source is a geotiff and the tags are copied across. How is this data defined when the source is not geotiff

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Are you using the SDK from developer.lizardtech.com?

If so, you may wish to contact sdksupport@lizardtech.com

If not, please consider using the SDK.
