Converting Files

First let me start off by saying I have no clue what I am asking so if it doesn't make sense, I apologize...But I have a program that will only recognize my aerial photos as a Mr Sid file. The files given to me have the file extensions of .ecw, .ers, .prj How can my GIS guy convert these areial files to .sid? Do I need to buy a program, and if so which one or any other help would be appreciated.
