Altering Spatial resolution

Postby conrad » Fri Oct 07, 2011 8:23 am

Greetings all,

Is there an easy way to alter the spatial resolution of a already compressed Mr SID image. I have a flat mosaic that is currently 0.5 meter resolution and I would like to change it to a 1 meter resolution. Is there a way to do this in GeoExpres 8?

Thanks,
Conrad

Hello Conrad,

GeoExpress offers this via the Optimize tab.

Add your MrSID Generation 3 image to the optimize tab.

Press the "More Optimize Options..." button. The "Optimize Options" dialog box appears.

Go to the "Optimize Settings" tab.

Check the Resample image box.

Reduce level of detail by a factor of: 2

Thanks Robert,

I suspected that was it but I was unsure what the scaling factor should be set to. I should have read more in the documentation.

Cheers,
