SID not appearing in correct location
Hi, I've encountered this problem the last several times I've tried to encode a tif.
Most recently, I have a TIF that I georeferenced in ArcGIS 10. The coordinate system is defined in GIS, but when I bring it into GeoExpress it says 'undefined' though the Image Extent coordinates look correct. When I encode it, whether or not I check the box for 'Allow world files', the resulting sid appears in Arc 10 about 700 miles to the west of where it should be.
I can't figure out what's going on. It seems like there might be a problem with the input coordinate system, though it's not any different from what I've always used (NAD 1983 State Plane Washington North FIPS 4601). This has occurred not only with this georeferenced image, but other air photos that I have as well. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Kate
