WMS requests with format=image/tiff are offset

Postby mitchelljj » Sun Jan 10, 2010 7:50 am

When doing WMS requests with format=image/tiff they are offset by 1/2 to 1 degrees but when the same request has format=image/png it is accurately displayed.

Also unless a multicatalog has within it catalogs with different SRS values when doing WMS requests with format=image/tiff even if the WMS requested SRS=EPSG:4326 the returned image is output as the native projection. When doing the same WMS request with format=image/png it is correctly outputs as EPSG:4326.

I would like to be able to allow our customers in addition to viewing imagery within our web GIS as image/png if they would like to export the same area as image/tiff (geotiff) then they can export into their own desktop GIS, but this will not work if the geotiff is offset.

The Express Server access log shows all of the WMS h_t_t_p requests that are coming in. Could you please make the two requests and then look in the access log and copy the URLs for both requests into a post here?

Is your server publicly viewable?
