Shared Cache via NFS

is it possible to just store the /var/cache/iserv_images directory on an NFS share and then have a mirrored configuration share this cache intelligently? I have it setup this way now. Does the slave know about the masters cache and vice versa or is there a separate log of what is actively in the cache leaving the other node in the dark about cache that it didn't create?

The cache is not mirrored, but you can put the cache anywhere you like, including a shared location which is used by both Express Servers.
