Is there a max size limit for decoding MrSid images using the decoder utility.

Thanks.

The max output size is 2 GB to TIFF.

Mr. Parker,

Thank you for the response. Do you happed to know what the max size limit for decoding MrSid is for a fully licensed version of GeoExpress Viewer? Again thanks for the info.

It's the same. TIFF images have a 2GB file-size limit (which is half of the 4 GB TIFF file format limitation).

From the docs: "...a 1GB MrSID file that was encoded at a 20:1 compression ratio will fail to encode to GeoTIFF because it would be a 20GB file, exceeding the limit. Note also that very large TIFF images can be difficult to use."
