The New England Historical Genealogy Society has databases of censuses and vital statistics accessible to members with pictures of the actual document available using an expressview server.
I have used the service for years and it has always worked until the last few weeks. Now, attempting to view the image gets me either a failed picture icon, or a black picture. I have tried to use firefox, which gives me the short image mentioned in the knowledgebase, chrome which works poorly, and IE 7 with current updates. In all cases it fails to load anything except a black page or a broken picture icon.
I tried to download the images and open them from there, but I get a blank page titled "Searching for Application"
I am suspicious that the expressview plugin is not installing correctly, as I can't find it in Manage Add-ons, but I don't know.
can anyone help, please?

The ExpressView Browser will show up in the add/remove programs list.
