I am writing a Perl program to format and add text to MrSID images and write them out as PDFs. I am using ImageMagick for the image changes.
As it stands, my Perl script has to use mrsidgeodecode to convert the input MrSID to a TIFF file on disk, which the Perl then has to read from disk to do further work. I would like to have some way to get mrsidgeodecode (or something else) to take the input MrSID and write the resulting TIFF format output into memory, through a pipe, or by putting it into a blob, or however this can be accomplished, to avoid the write/read to/from disk operations.
I am using Windows XP, from the MS-DOS command line.
This is not essential but it would be nice.
mrsidgeodecode with pipes, STDIN/STDOUT
