Help with MrSID data and ArcGIS 10... Please!

I have just upgraded to ArcGIS 10 and have been begun a project that will require a great deal of work with NAIP rasters, which are stored in the .sid format. Unfortunately, I have just learned that MrSID is no longer supported as an output format by ESRI.

Bad news, indeed...

Can anyone suggest a way to maintain the .sid file format when modifying (i.e., extracting) MrSID raster data?
