Batch .sid to GeoTiff

Postby sdcp73 » Wed Sep 14, 2011 8:41 am

Hi all,

I am new to the sid format and gis systems so I may not be making much sense here. I have about 500 sid images that I would like to export as Geotif files using a batch command.

FOR %%a IN (dir /b *.sid) DO mrsidgeodecode -i %%a -o %%a.tif
pause

I exported all of my files just fine but they come in on top of each other. If I export them one by one using the viewer they come into my software in the correct places. Am I missing a command somewhere?

The software I am doing this conversion for also reads Jpeg2000 and ecw images if this would be an easier conversion.

Thanks!

Try creating a world file. It's -wf.

MrSID images are supported in most GIS applications. What GIS software are you using that doesn't support MrSID?

That's my problem I guess. I am needing the images for PLS-Cadd, not a GIS program.

world file did the trick. thank you very much
