MrSID Info tool problem

Postby burakovich » Wed Apr 08, 2009 12:28 am

We are using the MrSID Info tool in our java-based application in order to get the geo coordinate info such as X UL, Y UL, X Res, Y Res etc. from sid file.

The information that we parsed is not the same as we parsed from the sdw file. There is a precision problem for the values we read.

For example;

From the info tool it displays the X res: 0,000004
But on the sdw file X res is something like 0,000004231254

We are not planning to use the C++ SDK at that moment and we don't have the sdw file for each sid file to parse from. I wonder "is there a way to parse the sid file in java with the correct/high precision"?

Thanks lot.

The mrsidinfo tool does show less precision; we will fix this in a future release.

We do not have any Java support available for our SDKs, however other customers have used JNI interop to do this sort of thing in the past.
