Magnification Questions

I'm using the C interface dll's with a c# wrapper.

from the "Unified_DSDK_8.0_win32-vc9"

I've had some good success with the SDK until recently. I'm wondering how accurate the Magnification is? It seems to work in levels instead of going to the precise value you provide.

For example I'm working with some sid files that have a resolution of 3.0 and i am trying to use it with other map data that has an approx resolution of 2.38(meters per pixel). I set the magnification to 0.79 and the ltic_getDimsAtMag method returns the same dimensions as the file at 1.0 magnification.

Am i doing anything wrong or is this how the sdk functions by design.

Certain image formats may only support octave resolutions. You can try pushing a MultiResFilter onto your imageStage chain. This should to the res up/down as required.
