GeoViewer missing annotation feature?

I'm one of the unlucky folks who paid $299 for a full version of the now-unsupported GeoExpressView. When I switched laptops, I couldn't find the install file and I called to find out what to do. I was told that the free GeoViewer download replaces GeoExpressView. I downloaded the free GeoViewer and finally got it installed and working after messing with the DirectX stuff.

One of the features in GeoExpressView that used everytime I opened is the Annotation feature. In fact, that's why I bought GeoExpressView in the first place since browser plug-ins are acceptable for simple viewing. I don't do GIS so the Annotation feature was perfect for my sketching & labeling on top of MrSID hi-res imagery files. I am quite miffed that I can't find an annotation feature in GeoViewer. Am I missing or overlooking something? I've been through the online Help and I can't find anything.

That feature is not yet available in the current release of GeoViewer. I will log this as a feature request so that it will be considered for a future version.
