Getting "blotchy" Images in Viewer

Just downloaded the GeoViewer, was a big fan of the old MrSid Viewer so had to have. Anyway, wondering if there was any particular reason i would be getting "blotchy" images on the SID file that i'm importing/exporting. I - it's because of "white" areas, but am not sure. Just curious if there was perhaps a setting i was missing somewhere. Thanks in advance.
