Problem exporting large areas from WMS

From my tests it looks like GeoViewer cannot export more than 8,000 by 8,000 pixels. My WMS service can export upto 20,000 by 20,000 using ArcMap so I know the WMS service is capable.

When I reported this to their support I was told that was no such limitation.

To test that it does indeed work, I just exported a full resolution jpg image from WMS of the entire world, producing a 43201 x 21600 px image.

If you could please give more specific information about what you are doing, I can help troubleshoot the problem.

I'm getting a dialog box saying
"Error Exporting Map
mg2 i/o error [8103]"

I don't see any error code listings on the website.
