Converting MrSid and retain Quality

I have been using GeoViewer to convert MrSid Images to GeoTiff Images. You have the option of saving your image with one of the following resolutions:

Full Resolution
Print (6600 x 6600)
Medium (2048 x 2048)
Web (512 x 512)

I wish there was a way to specify a custom resolution because the 'Print' option is still too blurry and when I save as Full Resolution my image size is 2.9GB. Any ideas on a way to keep near original quality of a MrSid Image but cut down on the file size?

Those are the only options that GeoViewer offers. You could potentially use a more advanced tool, like mrsidgeodecode. The tool is a command-line utility available from our website:
