Local layer error: The given path's format is not supported

Hello,

When I try to add a local layer (MrSID, JPEG, etc), I get an error:

Couldn't open local layer: xxxx
The given path's format is not supported.


Any ideas? I'm running the latest 5.5.0.3396 x64 version on Win 7 x64 with .NET 4.5 installed.
