mrsidgeodecode on Ubuntu

Postby skywatcher » Fri Nov 19, 2010 12:44 pm

Please could someone point me in the right direction for using mrsidgeodecode on Ubuntu 10.10. I was not sure how to install mrsidgeodecode, so I simply unpacked it in a folder in my home directory. From the command line I tried this with the 64-bit version:

Code: Select all
./mrsidgeodecode -i input.sid -o output.tif -of tifg

This gave an error message:

./mrsidgeodecode: cannot execute binary file
.

I then tried the same command with the 32-bit version, and got this error:

./mrsidgeodecode: error while loading shared libraries: libgeos.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
.

In the above command the file
input.sid
was placed in the same folder as the mrsidgeodecode executable.
