LizardTech Signs Distribution Agreement with Headway Technology to Represent its Document Imaging Products in Europe
Seattle, WA, July 6, 2004 – LizardTech, Inc., a leader in software solutions that make it significantly easier to manage, distribute and access digital content such as aerial photography, satellite imagery and scanned color documents, today announced that under a distribution agreement Headway Technology Group, Europe’s premier document imaging distributor, has agreed to serve as the exclusive distributor of Document Express with DjVu through Headway’s pan European distribution structure.

Document Express with DjVu® (pronounced “Déjà vu”) is a suite of software tools that enable the conversion of statements, articles, manuals, records, catalogs, and more into highly compressed, web-friendly, searchable DjVu document images, without compromising visual quality, text resolution, or legibility of the document.
DjVu is the premier open format for managing, storing, exchanging and viewing color documents. Whether scanned or electronic, documents converted to DjVu format become highly compressed document images. Typical compression ratios of between 300:1 and 1000:1 makes the use of color scanning in business applications a natural choice as the file sizes achieved are equivalent in size to black and white document files. A typical full-color A4 size DjVu file at 300 dots per inch for example produces a mere 50kb file size to swiftly move across a network or the Internet.
