Celartem, Inc. Establishes Korean Branch to Expand Its APAC Business
The Branch Established Through Acquisition of Partner Company, Janusystem
SEATTLE, Wash. – April 5, 2005 - Celartem Technology Inc., today officially announced the establishment of a Branch in Seoul, Korea and the acquisition of Korean-based Janusystem, document-imaging reseller. Janusystem specializes in manufacturing and digital library solutions and has been a business partner with LizardTech, one of Celartem’s business units, for several years.
In an effort to expand its business development into Asia, Celartem has set up a branch in Seoul, that will be managed by Hyung Lim, current director of sales and marketing in the Asia-Pacific region for LizardTech products. As a result of the acquisition of Janusystem, some of their key employees will retain employment under Celartem and will focus on distribution of LizardTech’s and Extensis’ products in order to continue its expansion into the Asian market. Extensis, the world’s leading provider of software solutions that empower digital asset creators and users, is also owned by Celartem Technology, Inc.
Janusystem has already been very successful selling solutions based on LizardTech’s open file format called DjVu to many of the major manufacturers in Korea, such as Samsung, LG and Hyundai. Celartem Inc. will continue developing, marketing and selling the solutions build around DjVu developed by Janusystem.
