LizardTech Announces Integration with Kofax Ascent Software
Document Express Module for Kofax Ascent Easily Integrates the Benefits of the DjVu File Format with Kofax’s Scan and Capture Software
SEATTLE, Wash. – April 19, 2005 - LizardTech, a division of Celartem, Inc. and a leading provider of software solutions that make it significantly easier to manage and distribute digital content such as scanned color documents, aerial photography and satellite imagery, today announced release of the Document Express Module for Kofax Ascent Capture. The module seamlessly integrates Document Express with DjVu tools into Kofax Ascent Capture Software. Kofax’s customers will now be able to convert files captured with Kofax Ascent Capture and output the file in the DjVu format all within the Kofax workflow.
The conversion delivers highly compressed representations of scanned black and white and color documents for rapid distribution and cost effective storage, without sacrificing the quality or details of the original document.
Kofax Ascent Capture is modular applications that can be used out of the box to meet the information capture needs of a specific department, and expanded with Ascent modules to meet the complex requirements of a high-volume enterprise. The open Ascent architecture makes it easy to extend the basic application to handle complex, high-volume forms processing, as well as to capture information directly from remote offices.
“We are excited that Kofax document imaging customers can take advantage of the power of the DjVu file format, and benefit from small file sizes, great image detail and optical character recognition in 100 languages from within Kofax Ascent Capture,” said Jeff Foster, LizardTech product manager.
For a free trial version of the Document Express Kofax Module, customers can email LizardTech at docsales@lizardtech.com and request a copy. The Document Express Module for Kofax Ascent Capture has pricing tiered to match the Kofax Ascent Capture License protocol and starts at $395.00 suggested retail.
