Company to showcase its latest version of GeoExpress® software
SEATTLE, Wash. – January 24, 2011 - LizardTech®, a division of Celartem Inc. and a leading provider of software solutions for managing and distributing geospatial content, is exhibiting in Booth #52 at the Defence Geospatial Intelligence (DGI) 2011 Conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London this week. The company will showcase GeoExpress 8, which enables geospatial professionals to compress and manipulate satellite and aerial imagery. With the recent launch of GeoExpress, LizardTech introduced the MrSID® Generation 4 (MG4™) format for compression of raster data, adding support for multispectral data, alpha channels and improved mosaicking.
“We’re thrilled to showcase the latest version of GeoExpress at DGI this week,” said Jon Skiffington, director of product management. “With the updated MG4 format our customers can losslessly compress their geospatial data, mosaic datasets together, and color balance raster imagery, making it faster to deploy imagery downrange for use in exploitation workflows.”
LizardTech will also be conducting demonstrations of Express Server® software for distributing imagery and Spatial Express® software for storing imagery. The company will also demonstrate LiDAR Compressor™ software, which enables users to turn point cloud data into lossless MrSID files that retain 100 percent of the raw data at just 25 percent of the original file size. Unlike raw LAS or ASCII data, LiDAR files compressed to MrSID are easily managed resources from which derivatives can be extracted over and over again.
