FROM MANAGEMENT
LizardTech just wrapped up our fiscal year 2010, and even through a down economy we still managed to meet our goals. We can’t thank our customers enough for their loyalty and patronage, especially those of you who have been with us for 10 years or more.
It was great to meet many of you at the Esri International User Conference in San Diego last month. We always appreciate when people come up to our booth and ask us questions, request features, and tell us how they use LizardTech products in their everyday workflow.
Many of you attended our reception in San Diego at the Tipsy Crow, and a good time was had by all! Thanks for your continued support of LizardTech, and have a great summer!
LizardTech Management
GEOSPATIAL
LizardTech always values your feedback, and our recently completed customer survey provided plenty of that! As in years past, we got a great response rate, which allows us to draw some pretty good conclusions for how we’re doing as a company.
Over 50% of the respondents surveyed said they use GeoExpress, which is frankly not too surprising. Almost 25%, though, said they use our free GeoViewer, which is great news for a product that’s barely a year old!
One thing we’ve been tracking year after year is the amount of users who a) view imagery on a mobile device, and b) access that imagery over a network. We’re seeing more and more users taking advantage of networked imagery. We think products like our Express Server are helping customers get that data into the field with a minimum of bandwidth.
Finally, there are two things we’re most proud of. First, we asked you to rate your experience with LizardTech’s technical support. Almost 85% of you rated it “Good” or “Excellent.” Next, we asked if you would recommend LizardTech’s products to someone else; 94% of you said you would. That’s a thrilling thing for us lizards to hear, and we thank you for your time in participating and your continued support.

Tips and Tricks
GeoExpress
Want to encode a larger mosaic or speed up your encode times?
GeoExpress 7 now has a 64-bit install option. On a 64-bit computer GeoExpress 7 can access RAM over 3 GB (a limitation on 32-bit computers). This will allow you to create larger mosaics and speed up encoding time.
