Dramatically decrease the storage space requirements for raster imagery by up to 95 percent while retaining visually lossless image quality, Spatial Express delivers highly efficient image compression with ratios between 2:1 (lossless) and 20:1 (visually lossless), or up to 500:1 depending on your workflow needs. With your choice of two efficient image compression formats, the industry-standard MrSID and the ISO-standard JPEG 2000, Spatial Express makes it possible to store enormous image files natively as MrSID or JPEG 2000 in an Oracle Spatial database.
View Your Imagery in Any GeoRaster-Enabled Application
Because Spatial Express uses the GeoRaster API, any GeoRaster application will be able to retrieve and view MrSID and JPEG 2000 imagery. No need to worry about whether your application will support various file formats; just choose your imagery and go to work!

Selective decompression extracts only the necessary pixels you need for viewing your imagery.
