A060601 - Adding a License to the License Server on Solaris 8 or 9

Summary:

You are running Solaris 8 or 9 and cannot add a license to the license server using lslic.

Cause:

lslic, lswhere, and lsmon are incapable of broadcasting to the network to find a list of servers. (See also “A060701 – lslic, liswhere and lsmon won’t work on Solaris 8 and 9“.)

Solution:

If your installation is on Solaris 8 or 9, you must manually add your license to the lservrc file as indicated in the README file accompanying the installation.
