A060410 - Cut off text in GeoExpress user interface

Running on Windows XP or Vista, the text in the GeoExpress user interface is obscured or cut-off or is otherwise prevented from displaying fully.
Cause:
The computer’s text dots-per-inch (DPI) settings are set too high for the program.
Solution:
Windows XP
- Right-click on the desktop and select Properties from the context menu.
- Choose the Settings tab.
- On the General tab, click Advanced.
- Make sure your DPI setting is set to Normal (96 DPI) and click Apply.
- Click OK to exit each open dialogue box.
Windows Vista
- Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize from the context menu. The Personalization pane appears.
- Click Adjust font size (DPI) in the lefthand Tasks menu. The DPI Scaling dialog appears.
- Select Default scale (96 DPI) – fit more information, then click OK.
- Close the Personalization pane.
Status:
This is only an issue on earlier platforms. Windows 7 scales UI elements properly.This article was last updated or verified on 5 December 2012.
