A080701 - Demosaicking does not work on Optimize tab

Summary:

Attempting to simultaneously crop and demosaic or “tile out” images on the Optimize tab results in incorrect scenes or an error, “Couldn’t determine output file names”.

Cause:

When using the Optimize tab to select a crop region and demosaic that region into tiles, the result is correct only when the crop region begins at upper left (0,0). In other cases, the tiles produced display the wrong scene, or only a single tile is produced for the whole crop region instead of individual tiles, or no output files are produced and an error is reported.

Solution:

Do one of the following:

• Use the Images tab for tile-out operations
• Use the Optimize tab to crop a region with no tiling, then encode (click Optimize Selected Images), then drag the resulting cropped file back onto the Optimize tab to demosaic

Status:

This is a known issue that will be addressed in a future release.
