A060303 - Failure while encoding TIFF images
Products:
GeoExpressSummary:
GeoExpress fails to encode TIFF images that are contained in a single strip or that have an excessively large strip height.
Cause:
During encoding, GeoExpress loads an image into memory one strip at a time, deleting each strip as it progresses through the image. In some TIFF images, the entire image is contained in a single strip, and these images likely will cause an encode job to fail. The encode job may fail even if the strips are simply too large.
A well formed TIFF has a strip size not larger than 8 KB.
Solution:
The best solution is to prevent this situation through the rejection of TIFFs with excessive strip size, although this is not always possible.
