A070701 - GeoExpress ignores JPEG 2000 world (.j2w) files

Summary:

When encoding from JPEG 2000 with world files (*.j2w) to MrSID, GeoExpress ignores the world file.

Solution:

There is currently no way to assign positioning information via the original j2w file. A workaround is to encode individual files to MrSID, then copy your JPEG 2000 world files (*.j2w) and rename them as MrSID world files (*.sdw).

To rename files via the command line:
Use the following command:

RENAME *.j2w *.sdw

Status:

This is a known issue that will be addressed in a future release.
