F070302 - How do I obtain a locking code for GeoExpress?

To obtain a locking code for a standalone version of GeoExpress:

When you run GeoExpress for the first time, a locking code is displayed.

To obtain a locking code on a license server:

Using the Start menu:

  1. Open Start > (All) Programs > LizardTech > License Server > License Server Tools & Utilites. The License Server Tools & Utilitis directory opens.
  2. Open the file wechoid.exe (Unix: run echoid and save the codes reported).
  3. Clear all checkboxes except for Ethernet Address.
  4. Your selector should read “0x10″. Your code appears to the right.
  5. Please note your selector and code for later use in obtaining a license.

Using the command line:

  1. Open a command line window (Start > Run > cmd) and run the change directory (cd) command to access the License Server Tools and Utilities Directory, which by default is located at: “C:/Program Files (x86)/LizardTech/LicenseServer/bin”.
  2. Run echoid.exe.
  3. Please note your locking codes.
