A070103 - Image incorrectly referenced or appears in wrong spatial location
Products:
GeoExpress 5.0 and laterSummary:
Your MrSID image or mosaic is not correctly referenced or does not appear in the proper spatial location.
Cause:
The coordinates (or “extents”) of the source tiles may be determined by world files if, for example, the source tiles have ESRI aux files, which GeoExpress does not read. Also, coordinate reference system units (feet, miles, pixels, etc.) of the source and output files may be mismatched.
Solution:
- Check your source file types. If the coordinates/extents of the source tiles have world files:
- Select Preferences from the Options menu.
- Select the Allow world files to override native georeferencing checkbox.
- Start a new project.
Ensure that the extents are correct in GeoExpress before encoding.
- Check the coordinate reference system. When selecting source and output coordinate reference systems, be careful that the units match. If working in feet, be sure you select feet as your output units.
Note: ArcMap requires that the coordinate reference system of MrSID files be set in ArcCatalog (it does not automatically read the metadata of the MrSID file).
