A060701 - lslic, lswhere and lsmon won’t work on Solaris 8 and 9

Products:

GeoExpress

Summary:

You are running Solaris 8 or 9 and you cannot run lslic, lswhere or lsmon.

Cause:

These utilities are incapable of querying the network to find a list of servers.

Solution:

For adding licenses to a license server, see “Adding a license to the License Server on Solaris 8 or 9“.

lsmon can find a server that you specify. You must call this utility using the name of the particular license server as an argument. For example:

./lsmon <LicenseServer>

There is no workaround for lslic or lswhere on Solaris 8 and 9.
