E060501 - Troubleshooting installation of ExpressView Browser Plug-in

Summary:

When you finish installing the ExpressView Browser Plug-in, there is no shortcut or executable to run the program on the desktop or in the Start menu.

Cause:

The ExpressView Browser Plug-in is not a stand-alone product and does not have an executable or separate program. It runs inside of a supported web browser.

Solution:

To view a file using the ExpressView Browser Plug-in, open the file in a supported web browser.

MrSID Files 
The MrSID (.sid) filetype should be associated with your default browser upon installation of the plug-in. If it is not:

  1. Right-click on the .sid file and choose Open With… from the context menu.
  2. Open the file in a supported web browser.
