How to Find Cartridge ID in Express Manager

Express Cartridge Manage

  1. Install the Express Cartridge Manager (ECM)

Ensure the Express Cartridge Manager(ECM) is installed on the machine that will host the license, and that Express License Manager is installed. Complete the installation and verify that the installation completes successfully. You can download the ECM from https://www.lizardtech.com/download.


  1. (OPTIONAL)Start ECM Service

Open the Services Manager (Windows)  and confirm that the Express Cartridge Manager Server service is running.  By default, it should be running. 


  1. Launch the ECM Server Utility

  After installation, the ECM Server should start automatically.



If it does not, search for “Add License Server” on the Windows computer and launch the ECM ID application from the search results.



If this still does not work, navigate to C:\Program Files\LizardTech\Express Cartridge Manager\bin\

and double-click umid.exe to launch the Express Cartridge Manager(ECM) utility.



  1. Copy the Cartridge ID

Copy the cartridge ID  and email it to info@geowgs84.com.
