If you're installing GeoExpress in a licensed environment, it is important to get a valid lock code from the GeoExpress License Server. The lock code uniquely identifies your license server and permits LizardTech to create a permanent license file that will activate GeoExpress on your network.
This guide provides a step-by-step guide to obtaining a lock code on Windows, describes the most common hiccups that can occur while activating the license, and gives some best practices to ensure you'll have a painless license activation experience.
Step-by-Step: Obtain the Locking Code on Windows
Install the GeoExpress License Server
Ensure the GeoExpress License Server is installed on the machine that will host the
license. Complete the installation and verify that the installation completes successfully.
You can download it from https://www.lizardtech.com/download
(OPTIONAL)Start the License Server Service
Open the Services manager (Windows) and confirm that the GeoExpress License
Server service is running. By default, it should be running.
Launch the License Server Utility
After installation, the License Server should start automatically.

If it does not, search for “Add License Server” on the Windows computer and launch
the application from the search results.

If this still does not work, navigate to
C:\Program Files (x86)\LizardTech\LicenseServer\bin\ltaddlic.exe
and double-click ltaddlic.exe to launch the License Server utility.

Copy the licensing code and email it to info@geowgs84.com.
